Help/Brand book & analysis/Control tone precisely
Control tone precisely
Updated 2026-04-08

Create 3 “Do” rules

  • Be concise and specific (avoid vague claims).
  • Use confident language without hype.
  • Prefer outcomes over features.

Create 3 “Don’t” rules

  • Don’t say “revolutionary”, “game-changing”, “best”.
  • Don’t stack jargon.
  • Don’t overpromise results you can’t prove.

Put it inside every direction

Once you have these rules, paste them into your strategic direction. It becomes your brand “linting” checklist.

Tip

If you need different voices for different audiences (enterprise vs creator economy), keep the core tone consistent and vary the level of technical detail only.
